Find your HubSpot BCC address

You'll need this before setting up the add-in.

Your personal HubSpot BCC address is unique to your account and is how HubSpot identifies which emails to log to your CRM.

  1. Log in to your HubSpot account
  2. Click the Settings gear icon (top right)
  3. Go to General in the left sidebar
  4. Click the Email tab
  5. Under Log emails in CRM, copy your personal BCC address — it looks something like abc123@bcc.hubspot.com
Keep this address handy — you'll paste it into the add-in settings in Step 4.

2

Download the manifest file

This small file tells Outlook how to load the add-in.

Click the button below to download the manifest file to your computer.

↓  Download manifest.xml
What is a manifest file? It's a small XML file that tells Outlook where to find the add-in and what permissions it needs. It contains no personal data and is completely safe to download.

3

Install the add-in in Outlook

Upload the manifest file to your Outlook account.

Open Outlook on the Web at outlook.office.com and follow these steps:

  1. Click New mail to open a compose window
  2. In the compose toolbar at the bottom, click the three dots ··· (more options)
  3. Click Get Add-ins from the menu
  4. In the panel that opens, click My add-ins in the left sidebar
  5. Scroll to the bottom and click + Add a custom add-in → Add from file
  6. Select the manifest.xml file you downloaded in Step 2
  7. Click Install on the confirmation prompt
Can't see "Get Add-ins"? Your Microsoft 365 admin may have restricted custom add-ins. Ask your IT team to enable sideloading, or have them deploy the add-in organisation-wide via Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

4

Enter your HubSpot BCC address

Configure the add-in with your personal BCC address.

Close the add-ins panel and open a new compose window. You should now see a HubSpot BCC group in the compose toolbar.

  1. Click the BCC Settings button in the compose window
  2. A settings pane will open on the right
  3. Paste your HubSpot BCC address from Step 1 into the field
  4. Make sure Auto-add BCC on every email is toggled on
  5. Click Save Settings
Settings sync automatically — once saved, your BCC address syncs to all your Outlook clients via Exchange. You won't need to set it up again on another device.

5

Send a test email

Confirm everything is working correctly.

Open a new compose window. The BCC field should automatically contain your HubSpot BCC address — you should see it appear within a second of the compose window opening.

Send a test email to yourself. Then check HubSpot — within a few minutes the email should appear in your activity feed.

BCC not appearing automatically? Make sure auto-mode is enabled in settings. Also note: on Outlook for Mac, the auto-add feature requires Outlook on the Web — you can still use the Log to HubSpot button manually on Mac.

You're all set!

Every email you send will now be automatically logged to your HubSpot CRM. No more missed touchpoints.
